Our Diagnostic Technology
We offer advanced diagnostic technology as a part of our comprehensive eye exam services for eye disease management and other eye care issues.
Optomap Retinal Imaging
The Optomap produces a unique image and provides our doctors with a high-resolution 200° image to determine the health of your retina, which is much wider than a traditional 45° image.
Many eye problems can develop without you knowing, and you may not even notice a change in your sight. Fortunately, eye diseases or damage such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal tears or detachments, and other health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be seen with a thorough retina exam.
The inclusion of Optomap retinal imaging as part of your comprehensive eye exam provides:
- A scan to show a healthy eye or detect diseases.
- A view of the retina, giving us a more comprehensive view than they can get by other means.
- The opportunity for you to view and discuss the optomap image of your eye with your doctor at the time of your exam.
- A permanent record for your file, which allows our doctors to view your images each year to look for changes.
Optomap retinal imaging is fast, easy, and non-invasive for our patients. The entire imaging process consists of you looking into the device one eye at a time. The resulting images are then displayed on a computer screen so our eye care professionals can review them with you.
Optovue iVue Optical Coherence Tomography with Angiography Capability
The Optovue OCT screening allows our team to get a detailed look at your eyes to track changes and predict trends in your vision. An OCT screening lets us map and visualize the structures of your eye to review in detail with you following the screening.
OCT Angiography reveals early indicators and offers advanced care for many ocular diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, and more.
iWellness Exam
The iWellness Exam is an Optovue exclusive exam offering a quick, easy exam to promote overall eye health. The iWellness exam also assists our team in the early detection, testing, and monitoring of eye diseases like macular degeneration and glaucoma.
iWellness scans are essential to diagnose and monitor eye diseases that don’t usually show outward symptoms. The iWellness exam provides an extremely detailed photo of your retina to let us assess your retinal health and uncover problems before they have a negative impact.
We Consider the Details
